Mill Cottage by the stream
Light and sunny Mill Cottage, a former granary next to the stream, sleeps 2-4 or 4 plus cot.
A comfy blend of old and new with exposed beams and a log-burner yet a relaxed modern style. Enjoy outstanding views downstream of the old stone bridge, along the garden & valley, from the upstairs open-plan living space. It’s a topsy-turvy cottage with bedrooms on the ground floor. The double bedroom has the stream flowing below the bedroom window – if you’re really lucky you might hear otters!
It’s great for nature lovers and just perfect for wildlife and bird watching on the river. Enjoy alfresco dining on the patio in the courtyard by a potted herb & flower garden – there’s a baarbecue for you and a picnic table.Wildflowers cover the river wall and there are plenty of herbs to use. A few steps away you have the shared lawns and stream with further seating.
Great views along the stream of the historic stone bridge and the valley. The living space is upstairs to make the most of the views. Enjoy a spacious, modern open-plan sitting room and kitchen-diner with exposed beams, a wood burner, comfy sofa and relaxing easy chairs.
The kitchen leads from the dining area, and offers an electric double oven, large fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and its own washing machine.
Downstairs, the double bedroom opens above the Gara Brook so you fall asleep to its soothing sound. The bunk room can either sleep two (children or adults) or three (via a pull out trundle) or a cot, just let us know what suits you best. The third (small) bedroom has a single narrow bed (two-foot six) for a kid or young teenager.
The bathroom has a corner bath with shower over, a loo and handbasin, and next door, a further separate loo.

We stayed in Mill, a very well furnished and equipped three bedroom cottage with the stream running right past the window The situation is perfect, a beautiful peaceful valley with easy access to the coast and surrounding countryside and lots of lovely walks…
